Boxing and Other Martial Arts Hubs in CDO

Since I live in the friendly city of Cagayan de Oro, the Frustrated Sports Analyst will do some public service and take you on a tour on the city’s best spots when it comes to sports. Simply put, I am your CDO Guide if all you care about is sports and other sporting events in the city.

Thanks to Manny “The Pacman” Pacquiao, a lot of alpha males from CDO and nearby municipalities are getting hooked to the sport of boxing. The rising popularity of the sport has paved the way for the construction of a top class boxing gym in the city – the one located in the Pelaez Sports Complex. The fee is really affordable and the equipment are very functional and well-maintained.

There are other boxing hubspots specked around the city. As your CDO Guide in sports and everything that is sports, I highly recommend the Elorde Boxing Gym, located in Xavier Square. Another great place where you can test your mettle against a punching bag is Sports Zone. The place also offers other martial arts lessons, including taekwondo and muay thai.

There are other martial arts schools around the city. The most visible would be the taekwondo gyms in Carmen, especially the one located in the Elipe Building fronting SSS. If you want to try your hands at boxing and other martial arts discipline, just check out the places I mentioned.
